HUGH CORNWELL (EX STRANGLERS)
HUGH CORNWELL (EX STRANGLERS)
Hugh Cornwell is one of the UK's finest song-writing talents and accomplished live performers. The original guitarist, singer and main songwriter in The Stranglers enjoyed massive UK and European success with ten hit albums and twenty-one top forty singles, etching himself into the UK's musical psyche with Peaches, No More Heroes, Golden Brown, Always the Sun, Grip, Nice N Sleazy, Duchess, Walk on By, Strange Little Girl and Skin Deep.

Cornwell has released eight solo albums, most recently Hooverdam, produced and mixed in Toerag Studios by Liam Watson, known for the Grammy winning White Stripes’ Elephant.

Hooverdam is available as a high-quality free download in twelve languages from his own website, bringing Cornwell’s music free to the world’s population. It’s available as a triple-sleeved digipak featuring both CD and live studio performance DVD Blueprint, in one exclusive package. The album is also issued on vinyl.

With the masterpiece Hooverdam available as a free download, Cornwell breaks new ground and proves himself again to be a unique force in British music.

New Songs for King Kong, a limited edition 'live' double CD and vinyl recorded on the last UK tour, featuring Hooverdam and The Stranglers first album Rattus Norvegicus 1V in their entirety, is available exclusively from Cornwell’s website.

"Hooverdam is the cousin to Lou Reed’s storming 1988 LP New York. It’s a very coherent album with a timeless quality." - Record Collector

"Cornwell remains a hugely popular & prolific performer whose songwriting retains its fiery eloquence and whose gigs still crackle with electricity" - Classic Rock
GLEN MATLOCK (SEX PISTOLS/THE FACES)
GLEN MATLOCK (SEX PISTOLS/THE FACES)
Glen Matlock (born 27 August 1956, Paddington, West London) is an English bass guitarist most famous for being in the original line-up of the punk rock band the Sex Pistols. Drummer Paul Cook has said that Matlock came up with much of the music for the band's songs and most of the lyrics, while lead singer Johnny Rotten made some adjustments. Matlock is credited as a co-author on 10 of the 12 songs on Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols. He also continues to make his own records and tour with various bands, including the Sex Pistols.
GLASS HEROES
GLASS HEROES
The GLASS HEROES stand as a clear testament to the power and purity of the music that influenced them. Carrying on with a direct force to play unadulterated & undiluted punk. In a music genre that has been all but obliterated by over marketing and trampled on by so many musical crossovers as to be almost unrecognizable. Punk is something taken to heart, and taken very seriously in their music. It was everything to them then & now. Keith, Steve & Stevie have watched what was once a breath of fresh and energized air in 1978 at 15 years old, to becomeing a bastardized version of itself with a sterile unbeating commercial heart. Big money and media overload have destroyed what we held sacred. "Thats why we play our style of punk, street rock, glory rock..whatever you want to call it..because we refuse to recognise groups calling themselves "Punk Rock" with no idea of it's roots. We just keep doing what you do, and reaching people that "get it"thats what matters. I get tired of all the little whining, posing little backstabbers that make up the majority of the so called punk scenes across our country, but in every town theres at least one group that has it right...and its to these bands that the respect is due. Stop being selfish little jealous pricks, and start supporting other groups that might be doing better than your own, you might be surprised!!
