Slipping into Darkness is a rock n roll band from a small town in the outskirts of the
California desert called Desert Hot Springs. They are currently recording their second album that
is being co-produced by Eduardo Arenas from Chicano Batman and Pete Dee from The Adicts.
They released their debut album called Shurpedelic in 2014 and will be releasing their sophomore
album sometime at the end of this year. They have played notable festivals such as Coachella
back in 2013 and played the Desert Daze festival back in 2015 along with being the main
supporting act for The Wailers at the Desertica festival in 2016. Over the years Slipping into
Darkness has gone on tour and played shows all over the southwest of the States and Mexico
with great bands such as Chicano Batman, The Growlers, The Adicts, Ty Segall, Black Lips, Thee
Oh Sees, Shannon and the Clams and many more notable artists. Their music has been featured

in numerous skating videos for companies like Zero and Transworld and had their music
on the 2016 action film Vigilante Diaries and the documentary Desert Age in the same year. They
have been playing their own brand of old school 60’s and 70’s rock music since 2012 and their
music can be described as a heavy garage sound with a modern twist of psychedelic pop music
that range from slow melancholic melodies to gritty blues with a pinch of punk.
